This committee is focusing on creating workforce pathways so that students can be successfully placed in careers, and nontraditional students can receive certification that will lead to higher paying careers.
Most recently, the committee partnered with Maui Community College to form the Ka Holu HVAC program in response to the rising demand for air conditioning technicians. In just its first year, 15 students graduated from the program, earning them an industry certification.
