This workshop provides basic hands-on exposure to Tableau Desktop and its visualization-building and dashboard features. It is appropriate for those who are new to Tableau or anybody wanting to understand what Tableau can do to help them in their jobs. As with all of Tableau’s free workshops, it’s not formal training, but it is a great way to get exposure to the breadth and power of Tableau. The virtual workshop takes approximately 2 hours, including time for Q&A.

Deena White Tearney is the Founder and CEO of Pacific Point and is responsible for the company’s operations and growth. She has a technical background and a long history of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software development and consulting, both as a consultant with “Big Five” consulting firms, Capgemini Ernst & Young and IBM Global Services and in industry, prior to founding Pacific Point. As CEO of Pacific Point, Deena brings her depth of CRM experience in a wide range of industries to Pacific Point’s clients.

Deena has a passion for encouraging youth to pursue careers in business, leadership, and technology. She has a long-standing history of support for various youth programs in Hawaii focused on topics such as STEM, Women in Business and Leadership, and Women in Technology. She was the keynote speaker for the 2017 Girls Summit and the 2020 Science Symposium for Girls. She and her team have volunteered 3 years in a row at the STEM Works Hawaii annual conference as professional mentors.

Kevin McKinney is a veteran Tableau Solutions Engineer with 5 years of experience helping Tableau customer see and understand their data. In that time, he has worked closely with state and local government customers in every aspect of civil service. Additionally, Kevin has worked with lots of other organizations from Fortune 500 companies, to small start-ups and NGOs. Prior to Tableau, he was a Data Analyst, an Archaeologist, and a Propaganda developer for the US Army.

In short, there is no problem too big, small, or weird for Kevin to apply his unique brand of problem solving.
